Olympia Leisure Centre, Belfast
We recently carried out a regeneration project for the Olympia Leisure Centre on Boucher Road in Belfast. With a new modern build it was important for us to deliver signage which worked alongside this. Creating eye catching signage plays a key part in transforming a building and strengthening your brand awareness.
Our thorough artwork proposals allowed us to show our client exactly what to expect with the end result. We were able to create signage products for the Olympia Leisure Centre which make an impact.
We crafted 3D illuminated LED lettering for the fascia of the building. As this is a large building it was important to make sure they letters were of an appropriate size – large enough to be seen from the road but small enough that they didn’t take over the building. The Olympia sign measures over 16 meters in length and in height the letters are around 2.6 meters.
We crafted each of these letters in-house here in the Rainbow Signs workshop. Each of the letters is built with an aluminium frame. They are face lit with LED lighting strips which have been placed by hand behind the face of each letter. The face of each letter in the sign is covered with flexface material. We also made a grey base panel for the letters to sit on this panel has been folded to create more depth to the end product. The signage looks great in both day time and at night and stands out to passing trade.
A roadside entrance totem sign has been put in place for the Olympia Leisure Centre. The screen has an embedded digital LED full colour screen. This is easily seen by passing trade and the screen helps to not only highlight the business, but also works great to display offers and to show a range of media content.
