Manufacturing Braille signage in Northern Ireland
Did you know that the UK has a reported 2 million people with a sight problem? With almost 20,000 people using Braille, we here at Rainbow Signs feel that it is important to be able to create effective signage that is beneficial to a wide audience.
The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA) means that it is now a requirement that sign manufacturers conform to best practice guidelines to ensure that most signs are made accessible to all, including the visually impaired.
Braille code can appear complicated to the untrained eye, which is why we feel that it is essential that your signs are accurate and abide by the appropriate standards for the visually impaired. We use a team of experts to produce high quality, durable and long-lasting signage that work well with your business branding. We here at Rainbow Signs manufacture all of our signage products in-house by our highly trained team of signage specialists.
Over time, we have developed several manufacturing processes to produce consistent and cost effective Braille signage which incorporates well into an overall signage plan without limiting the initial design.
We make sure each of are signs are made to precision by using tools of high quality, along with the use of our very talented craftsmen who painstakingly insert each Braille dot individually by hand to ensure that the highest degree of excellence is brought forward when preparing your signage.
Our bespoke Braille signs are made using CNC routing and engraving techniques. the Braille is inserted into very accurately drilled holes. Our signs are made to order; meaning you can get them in any colour, size and text.
Whatever your signage needs are, whether that is a single sign to a complete wayfinding system, we are here to help you find your way.
